The verse behind our name
Proverbs 24:16
Fall seven times, rise again.
“For a righteous man falls seven times and rises up again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.”
“Porque siete veces cae el justo, y se torna á levantar; mas los impíos caerán en el mal.”
“Porque sete vezes cairá o justo, e se levantará; mas os impios tropeçarão no mal.”
What does it mean?
Proverbs 24:16 doesn't promise that the righteous never fall. It says they fall “seven times,” a picture of falling again and again, and still rise up. What sets the righteous apart isn't a perfect record. It's that God keeps lifting them back up. The wicked, by contrast, are brought down by their calamity and stay down.
For anyone carrying shame, addiction, broken relationships or spiritual oppression, this verse is a promise: your fall is not the end of your story. Through Jesus Christ there is grace to stand again.
