Praise at Dawn · Day 31
Day 31 — Selah — Remember, Give Thanks, Begin Again
About 1 min read
A monthly pause to remember, give thanks and begin again.

Reflection
An original reflection from Fall 7 Rise 8 Ministry
Today there is no new five-psalm assignment. "Selah" appears throughout the Psalms as a pause. On months with a thirty-first day, we stop to look back. In thirty mornings you have walked through all 150 psalms: laments and thanksgivings, confessions and royal songs, the long love of God's word in Psalm 119 and the final Hallelujahs.
Tomorrow the cycle begins again with Psalm 1. The same words will meet a different you. Take a few minutes to remember what God has shown you, give thanks, and ask Him to plant you deeper by His streams in the month ahead.
Reflection prompts
- Which psalm spoke to you most this month, and why?
- Where did you bring an honest lament to God, and how has He met you?
- What are three things you want to thank God for from these thirty mornings?
- What is one practice you want to carry into next month?
Optional passages to revisit
Psalm 23Psalm 103Psalm 139Psalm 1
Begin again
Tomorrow, on the 1st, Praise at Dawn begins again with Psalms 1–5.
Practice
Answer one of the reflection prompts in writing, then pray Psalm 103:1–5 as your thanksgiving.
Prayer
Faithful God, thank You for meeting me in the Psalms this month. I remember Your works, I give You thanks, and I ask You to lead me as I begin again. Amen.
