Jesus, not a formula
Freedom begins and ends with Jesus. Deliverance is not a technique, performance, or way to make dramatic claims about another person. It is an expression of Christ's authority, mercy, and truth within the wider life of Christian discipleship.
Prayer may include honest confession, repentance, forgiveness, renouncing known sin and lies, receiving biblical truth, and asking for appropriate pastoral support. The aim is not fascination with darkness, but deeper trust in Christ.
One part of spiritual care
Not every hardship, illness, trauma, addiction, mental-health symptom, or relationship problem is caused by spiritual oppression. Wise care refuses simplistic diagnoses and makes room for pastoral, relational, medical, and licensed mental-health support where appropriate.
Freedom that becomes discipleship
- Turning toward Jesus in prayer, repentance, forgiveness, and truth
- Learning Scripture and renewing patterns of thought and action
- Remaining connected to a healthy local church and mature believers
- Receiving qualified professional care when it is needed
